When I worked at the Business Journal one of my counter parts at the Denver Business Journal figured out the math that if you sent 8 notes a week to prospects and clients you would grow your business 8 percent. That’s a pretty big claim. I know my limitations in life so I make it a goal to write at least one note a week to someone I had been recently networking with or hadn’t seen or heard from in a while.
This week I challenge you to ping that person you keep thinking about when you’re in line at the grocery store or while driving or who comes up in conversation and you don’t know how they’re doing. Stick a note in the mail or if it’s easier pick up the phone and call them.
