My clients often share passwords with me. It’s handy so I have access to necessary accounts. And often I notice that it’s one of 3 or 4 passwords. And yes, I’m guilty of this too. A year ago a client and I were having the password conversation and he suggested Last Pass which I setup to generate passwords and to store them all for me. It’s pretty handy, except when I type to fast and lock myself out of the master account.
Last week John Oliver had a great interview with Edward Snowden on the NSA and security. The next day they posted an “extra” video on passwords and the importance of them. It’s a quick watch and VERY interesting. The gist? Change your password to a phrase and do it yesterday.
